Ray has significant experience in the manufacturing, logistics
and construction sectors.
At Bush Boake Allen, where he was UK Financial Controller,
he initiated and delivered a Group Financial Control Manual,
which provided common control and reporting procedures across
a worldwide group of companies.
At Jarvis he undertook a troubleshooting role to correct
significant accounting errors and then established a sound
treasury management and weekly control system across group
companies.
At Akzo Nobel, Ray renegotiated all contracts and production
resources, which contributed savings of £3 million in
15 months. He then took part in a strategic review of all
European operations and in consolidating three sites into
two.
At FD Solutions he has:
- Assisted an entrepreneur with a business plan to establish
an adventure golf centre.
- Managed a sales ledger reconciliation that eliminated
an accounts difference of £70,000.
- Created a forecast to attract finance for the de-merger
of a £20m manufacturing group.
