After receiving a degree in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College, Dublin, Justin joined Arthur Young McClelland Moores in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. On qualification he worked in Italy, firstly in practice before joining Litton International.

On returning to the UK, Justin joined Wilkinson Sword, the well-known FMCG business, where he undertook a variety of different roles including Group Internal Audit Manager, Group Treasurer and Finance Director of the UK Shaving business.

Since leaving Wilkinson Sword, Justin has been the Finance Director of a variety of different manufacturing companies, both quoted and unquoted. In these roles he has been involved in change management of one sort or another, and the need for excellent cash management was reinforced.

• Finance Director of Clares Equipment. Organised the financial part of the MBO from Guinness.

• Group Finance Director of British Hartford-Fairmont, a family-owned company with a desire to go public. Justin resolved inventory problems caused by incorrect costing, and sold a US subsidiary, which was draining cash.

• Group Finance Director of Kembrey, a quoted company. Saved the group from receivership by reducing gearing from over 125% to 85%, then selling on the group and doubling shareholder value.

• Chief Financial Officer of Sapa Holdings. Repositioned Group by selling off non-core businesses and acquiring competitor.

• Commercial Director of Redhouse Engineering. Raised the finance for an MBI of this SME selling compressed air equipment.

More recently, Justin has worked as an interim manager helping companies to improve their profitability and cash management.
