Ian Parlane
MA, ACA, Associate Director -
A language graduate who qualified with Touche Ross and spent
time in their Paris office, Ian later became a partner of
Parlane Purkis & Co.
In 1997 he was appointed Financial Controller of a distributor
of fire prevention products. In addition to the usual finance
duties, Ian set up and managed the ISO9002 quality control
system and acted as Deputy Managing Director.
At FD Solutions Ian has developed
skills acting for clients in the arts, charities and
consultancies. His achievements include:
- Taking over the running of the accounts
department of a charity.
- Assisting a theatre to get through the Arts Council Recovery
programme. This involved upgrading of internal reporting,
business planning, and monitoring of performance.
- Restructuring the accounts department and improving management
reports for a
training and travel company.
